The inauguration of Barack Obama

The crowds, the cold and hanging out with David Burnett. It was an amazing day, and if I hadn’t been awake for 20 plus consecutive hours, I’d tell you all more about it. For now, I will have to let the photos talk for themselves. Thanks to everyone who made this possible, which is many people, but notably Rachael Peterson and my brothers Dave and Mike.

Even while lugging around extra equipment and battling the cold and crowds, you made some really, really nice snaps. Thanks for posing these.

Beautiful images Steve. What a powerful moment in history you captured. I’m envious.

Steven..nicely done… but i agree, way too cold to take pictures. Picture taking is tough enough when it’s warm!

You are a bad-ass. And you take good pictures, too. I don´t know how you can capture people unbeknown to them! It´s amazing.
