I’m a bit late getting these photos posted, but I wanted to welcome my new friend Drew Reid Jackson into the world. Born June 3rd, Drew has a brilliant older brother named Coen and wonderful parents in Dale and Eva, so I think he has a great start in life. Dale and I have been friends for more years than I can really remember, as we weren’t too much older than Coen when we started playing soccer together. I hope he is as fortunate as we were to find such good friends so early in life. More photos of Drew and the family on my archive.
Juliette + Michael
I spent a wonderful afternoon going to White Mesa with Michael and Juliette to make some engagement portraits last week. It gave me a chance to get to know them better before I photograph their wedding in the fall, and I like to think it helps them get comfortable and be natural and relaxed with the camera. There are a few more pictures of the happy couple on my archive.
*I’m totally done here*
Portrait of one of my favorite non-neice kids, Rea Sandoval, photographed on the smokey West Mesa of Albuquerque, or as the young star described it to her mother: “Some junk place”
There are some additional pics on my archive.
Hilda Raz for the Lincoln Journal Star
I had the great opportunity to meet and photograph Hilda Raz for the Lincoln Journal Star last week. Hilda and her husband Dale just moved to Placitas, and Nebraska’s loss is New Mexico’s gain. You should read the article. You can also see more of the photos from my first visit with Hilda and Dale on my online archive.
Albuquerque Economic Development Portrait series
I was commissioned to create a portrait series for Albuquerque Economic Development, Inc., a private, non-profit corporation that helps promote and recruit local businesses for use on their new website and some additional promotional materials. Fifteen lit environmental portraits of business executives may not sound like very many to some, but given the schedule demands of these CEO’s, VP’s and plant managers, it’s no small task. Most of the portraits had to be done very quickly to accommodate their schedules. Big thanks to Eric CdeBaca of AED for helping arrange all the appointments. The wide format is to accommodate the demands of the AED website, which provide an interesting compositional challenge.
